Il Residence è il
giusto punto di partenza dunque per prendere
contatto diretto con i vari itinerari archeologici,
naturalistici, religiosi circostanti fusi in un
mixer turistico-culturale che non finisce mai di
meravigliarvi, e che, combinato ai profumi del timo,
della zagara e del gelsomino che salgono dai
giardini, vi inebria la mente e turba i sensi. Il
Residence Turistico Rigolizia nel
Val di Noto val bene un imperdibile soggiorno in
Sicilia. Immersa in un paesaggio tipico dell’antica
civiltà contadina iblea che ancora conserva una sua
individualità ben precisa, il complesso trae origine
da un antico caseggiato rurale ottocentesco, dalle
fondamenta solide e dai muri perimetrali spessi
oltre 60 cm. La ristrutturazione è stata curata da
maestranze locali nell’assoluto rispetto delle
tecniche e dei materiali tradizionali. L’arredamento
interno ed esterno, studiato e curato nei minimi
particolari si armonizza magnificamente con i
luoghi.
Il Residence è
dotato di 8 ampie camere per un totale di 20 posti
letto. Ogni camera può ospitare da un minimo di una
ad un massimo di quattro persone. Grandi terrazze
solarium si spalancano sul paesaggio che assume
colori surreali che vanno dal bianco della pietra
calcarea sullo sfondo, al giallo ocra delle stoppie
che incornicia il verde del mandorlo, del carrubo,
dell’ulivo dai vigneti. Un paesaggio caratterizzato
da una sequenza infinita di muri a secco, come a
testimoniare una sorta di orlatura tra le proprietà
rurali, un ricamo che recinge i vari appezzamenti di
terreno, tra siepi di fichidindia e cespi di timo
(la pastura prediletta dalle api), di ampelodesmi (liama)
di asfodeli (mafalufu), palme nane, alaterni,
euforbie.

possibilità di tonificarvi e di rigenerarvi, con
calma, lontano dai rumori, dallo stress e dal caos
cittadino.
Il Residence, in ottemperanza alla
normativa vigente, è attrezzato per ospitare
soggetti diversamente abili.
La cucina offre le specialità
gastronomiche siciliane tradizionali dai sapori e
dagli odori intensi. Conditi con olio D.O.P. “Monti
Iblei” extravergine, si potranno gustare il pane
caldo con origano sale e peperoncino, la pasta e la
pizza (nelle varie tipologie) ‘mpanate con verdure
varie, il tutto fatto “in casa”; il latte appena
munto, la ricotta calda a zuppa accompagnata da
olive “di giara” e vino, il formaggio locale, la
salsiccia palazzolese; il dessert a base di cannoli
di ricotta e al pistacchio e i dolci di pasta di
mandorla delle rinomate pasticcerie di Palazzolo e
di Noto. Il Nero d’Avola, il Moscato, i rosoli (limoncello,
carruba, liquirizia) faranno da complemento a
qualsiasi pranzo, il tutto nel rispetto della dieta
mediterranea.
E’ prevista pure la vendita
dei prodotti tipici di aziende agricole locali.
Fin dall’arrivo presso la struttura si troverà
un’accoglienza familiare e la massima disponibilità
del personale sempre pronto ad esaudire i vostri
desideri e ad esservi d’aiuto in ogni circostanza e
nel rispetto assoluto della privacy.

relax che si compone di una piscina Jacuzzi a sei
posti, sauna e bagno turco, ristorante, solarium su
ampie terrazze, mountain bike per escursioni,
vendita prodotti di aziende agricole locali. Al
piano terra, troverete un'accogliente sala lettura
per rilassarvi in un ambiente familiare.
Un ulteriore servizio che vi segnaliamo offerto in
questa caso, non da noi, ma dalla Regione Sicilia è
Il “treno barocco”. Quest’ultimo effettuerà il
tragitto Siracusa-Ragusa di circa 112 km tutte le
domeniche dal 14 giugno al 27 settembre. Il costo
del biglietto è di 25 euro per gli adulti e di 10
euro per i bambini dai 4 ai 12 anni di età, ai più
piccoli non è richiesto nessun pagamento. Per ogni
corsa saranno accettate prenotazioni fino ad
esaurimento posti (78 a carrozza e 156 totali).
L'Aeroporto più vicino è quello di Catania. Le
Stazioni Ferroviaria più vicine sono quelle di Noto
e Siracusa. In Autobus, da Siracusa prendere AST per
Palazzolo Acreide dal capolinea di via Francesco

The Tourist
Residence Rigolizia is named after
the homonymous village it belongs to, in the
Noto area, district of Syracuse. Rigolizia,
from the Arabic “rahal”, is situated at 20
km from Noto, “Stone garden” and capital of
the Sicilian Baroque, at 8 km from Palazzolo
Acreide, mystery city from the millenary
stones and thousands enchantments, at 40 km
from Syracuse, town with a great and
glorious past, already defined by Cicero as
“the greatest Greek city and the most
beautiful of them all”. These baroque
centres, which have a rich archaeological
history, a baroque architecture and an
extraordinary interesting landscape,
together with the rocky necropolis of
Pantalica, just above the Anapo valley, have
been listed as a World Heritage Site by
UNESCO. The Residence, then,
is the perfect starting point for having a
direct contact with the various surrounding
archaeological, naturalistic and religious
itineraries. All of this will continually
surprise you because of its tourist-cultural
aspects mixed with the aroma of thyme,
orange flower and jasmine and it will
inebriate your minds and senses. The
Tourist Residence Rigolizia it is
definitely worth a visit, as a part of the
most famous Val di Noto.
Fully immersed in a typical rural hyblaean
landscape that still keeps its own
personality, the building comes from a
nineteenth century dwelling with solid
foundation and 60 cm thick outside walls.
The refurbishment of the building has been
carried out by local workers always
respecting the traditional techniques and
materials. The home furnishing has been
studied in all details in order to be
perfectly harmonised with the surrounding
places.
The Residence has 8 wide
rooms for a total of 20 bed-sits. Every room
can host from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of
4 people. There are big solariums watching
the multicolour range of beauties just one
step away from you. The landscape is
characterised by an endless sequence of dry
walls, as to witness some sorts of borders
around the fields, between hedges of Indian
figs and bushes of thyme (the favourite
bee’s grass), asphodels (mafalufi
in the Sicilian dialect), palmets, etc.

perfect, not only for what we have listed so
far, but also and especially for its rooms

Our lounge area with a fantastic six

The Residence, complying
with the laws, can host impaired people.
Our restaurant offers the best typical Sicilian dishes along with their
special aromas and taste. Using our olive
oil of controlled designation of origin, our
fresh bread served with oil and red pepper,
pasta and pizza (in all its kinds) like the
‘mpanate with vegetables, all home
made. And then the milk, the hot ricotta,
olives, wine, local cheese and meat. Finally,
the dessert with ricotta and the almond
pastry made in the nearby Palazzolo Acreide
and Noto confectioneries. As wines, we have
the very famous Nero d’Avola and Moscato,
also the rosolios of lemon, carob and
liquorice. In the end, it is important to
mention that the variety of food offered in
our Residence is part of
the Mediterranean diet, suggested by every
specialist in order to carry out a healthy
diet.
We will also sell
some typical products, like the ones cited
above.

Another service we would like to recommend
you, which is offered by the Sicilian Region,
not personally by us, is the Baroque train
(Treno Barocco). It will go from Syracuse to
Ragusa, about 112 km, all Sundays from the
14th of June to the 27th of September. The
ticket’s cost is of 25 euros for adults and
10 euro for kids between 4 and 12 years old.
For all the others it is not requested any
payment. For every trip, there is a maximum
of 156 places available.
